I watch and move animals as everyone heads to Wacker Branding. Cows move 2x. L-8 has the best cover ever and tight moves are getting good litter and leaving reasonable residue. Yearlings to fresh split-some areas the AD harvest is a little heavy-shooting for about 40% leaf residue to sustain ongoing photosynthesis. Two more heifers’ calf unassisted. Dandelion season is upon us.

Cows break back into L-10 missed the one broken insulator. I let cows hang in 10 for part of day to get more pressure on annuals-more annuals on south slopes that I had expected. I hope this mid-spring grazing pressure will help patches fill in with perennials. First heifer calves.
