Weather: Cooler.
Where: Cows in WG-4; Yearlings in L-5; Bulls in corral paddock. Daily cow move. Yearlings move into L-6 at end of day. Heron shows up for a moment on top of Hungarian Elm next to chicken coop. Not excessive yet measurable the hoppers steadily persist in their daily harvest. How will their presence this year manifest in 2024?

Weather: Slight cooling followed by an unexpected thunderstorm with large hail during the night. Will assess damage in the light of tomorrow morning.
Where: Cows in WG-3-4; Yearlings in L-5; Bulls along County Road (LS-12). Midday cows move into WG-4. Yearlings move once. Three more yearling bulls into heifer yearlings and four older bulls into cows. Bull 2081 went a bit crazy, and we will need to send this bull back to Travis for failing the temperament test. Hayden Vanderburg from NAP was here all day to check in with Tyler and Dana and I on the apprentice program.

Weather: High of 96 low of 60. With clear morning and the afternoon had a small thunder cloud roll through.
Where: Cows in WG-3 20 acre split in the am, yearlings in L-4 with a 10-acre split in the am.
Yearlings 8 acre split in the am trying to beat the heat. Bulls still in LW-12 chewing on grass in front of the HQ but the hardly put a dent on the grass. Moved yearlings one more time into L-5 where there was more native mixed with crested wheat. By the looks of the manure, we probably stayed too long in L-4 with very ample yet too high a percentage of coarse feed.
