I was hoping for around 55% 75 on a short 28 breeding period but fell short and were closer to 46% or 56 heifers. Current yearling count (83 already in feedlot). Need to double check. 50 steers (9 green tags) 56 bred heifers 77 open heifers (8 green tags) Weather: Very pleasant both days. Possible moisture on the way.

Very un-intrusive dirt, pine boughs, and pounded stick checks that hopefully will hold back more water while raising the water table. Surprising observation of Sage Thrasher and Pinyon Jays. In the morning I attend a Beaver Dam Analog (BDA) workshop with focus on NWF and Anabranch’s project on Milton Ranch. Project will build 30 to 40 BDAs over 2 miles of ephemeral stream in BW and EG units. Weather: More evening showers-almost .5
