Conifer Encroachment Removal
Conifer encroachment can negatively impact water resources, wildlife habitats and native grasslands. Milton Ranch completed some conifer encroachment removal by removing Ponderosa pine and juniper from sagebrush-grassland habitats to benefit wildlife habitat and the native grasslands. Milton Ranch worked in partnership through an EQIP Grant with the Natural Resources and Conservation Service (NRCS) on conifer encroachment. Thank you Toby Dahl for assisting with this project.
